Christopher J. Benes
Christopher J. Benes is a 1979 graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. Mr. Benes joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York ending as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Fraud/General Crimes Unit. After leaving the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Mr. Benes became a trial attorney representing several major carriers and specialized in complex Federal and State defense cases. He was Attorney of Record for a regional carrier specializing in municipal and school district defense. Prior to joining Gold, Stewart, Kravatz, Benes & Stone, Mr. Benes was Claims Counsel for American International Group for the New York Metropolitan area and other national accounts where he determined coverage and case strategy issues for matters involving commercial lines, labor law, contract, professional liability, discrimination, police/security, business, auto and corporate insurance. Mr.Benes is a former faculty member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Benes is currently a paramedic and member of the Bellmore-Merrick Emergency Medical Service and serves as president for the Board of Directors. He was a member of the County Executive Committee of the Nassau County Emergency Management Committee.
Christopher J. Benes is a member of the New York Bar, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
